Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, has emerged victorious in the presidential election held in his home state of Adamawa. According to the announcement made by the state collation officer, Prof. Mohammed Mele, who is also the deputy vice chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Atiku Abubakar polled 417,611 votes.
His closest rival, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, got 182,881 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party came third with 105,648 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission returning officer in the state is Hudu Yunusa.
