Tinubu to Inaugurate New Federal Executive Council Members

President Bola Tinubu is set to officially inaugurate the new Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Monday at the State House in Abuja. This move will mark the commencement of duties for the recently appointed ministers, allowing them to swiftly engage in their responsibilities.

In preparation for the inauguration ceremony, the newly appointed ministers have already initiated the necessary steps. They have been notified to provide essential documents such as their curriculum vitae, birth certificate, or declaration of age, as well as two passport photographs, among other requirements, for the purpose of clearance.

Nnamdi Mbaeri, the Permanent Secretary of the General Services Department within the Office of the Secretary to the Federation, released a statement on Thursday, sharing the pertinent details. The inauguration procedure is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, August 20.

During the inauguration event, President Tinubu will administer the oath of office and the oath of allegiance to the incoming ministers. The process will take place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Mbaeri emphasized, “Ministers-designate are to please note that their documentation will take place at the Conference Room, General Services Office, Second Floor, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, August 19, and Sunday 20.”

The formal inauguration of the new Federal Executive Council members underscores the government’s commitment to fulfilling its mandates and advancing the nation’s progress.
