The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its rejection of the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal’s recent decision affirming the victory of Governor Uba Sani from the All Progressives Congress (APC). The party has announced its intention to seek recourse by filing an appeal at the Court of Appeal.
In a statement issued by Alberah Catoh, the Publicity Secretary of the Kaduna PDP, it was conveyed that a thorough review conducted with their legal team revealed that the tribunal’s judgment did not align with the principles of substantive justice. The party contended that the verdict did not conform to the existing electoral laws, guidelines, and regulations.
The statement also mentioned that the party had instructed its legal representatives to initiate the appeal process at the Court of Appeal in Abuja within the legal timeframe stipulated by the law.
While emphasizing the importance of patience in the pursuit of justice, the party called on its supporters across the state to remain composed and optimistic, believing that, despite the gradual progress, they will ultimately attain the justice they seek.
