Gumi Urges Tinubu to Seek Expert Counsel for Policy Decisions

Distinguished Islamic cleric, Ahmad Gumi, has delivered a piece of advice to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to seek expert guidance before implementing certain policies and to refrain from relying on sycophants. Gumi’s counsel comes in the wake of concerns he raised regarding specific policies within the current administration led by President Tinubu. In a succinct video clip spanning 22 seconds, shared on his official Facebook page, Gumi cautioned that if left unchecked, these policies could potentially lead to the nation’s downfall.

Gumi expressed his apprehension by emphasizing that the implications of these stringent policies could extend beyond their intended scope, potentially causing harm to both the nation and the government itself. Speaking directly to President Tinubu, Gumi urged a thorough revision of these policies, emphasizing the importance of consulting individuals with expertise in the related fields. He advocated for a departure from the tendency to rely solely on sycophantic voices for guidance.

The Islamic scholar, Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, boasts a diverse background that includes military service as a captain in the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA). Presently serving as the Mufti and mufassir at the Kaduna central mosque, Sultan Bello, Gumi’s insights hold weight due to his extensive knowledge and experience.
