Ondo State Government Dismisses False Rumors of Governor Akeredolu’s Death

The Ondo State government has categorically denied the rumors circulating about the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The government clarified that these reports are entirely false and urged the public to disregard such speculations. In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, it was acknowledged that Governor Akeredolu has been unwell but emphasized that he has been actively engaged in state affairs and has delegated responsibilities when necessary.

Addressing the matter, the Commissioner stated, “We have received numerous calls and messages regarding the health of Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON. Initially, we chose to ignore this malicious fabrication, but it seems that certain individuals are attempting to gain political advantage from this misinformation.

Although the Governor has been unwell, he has been tending to state matters and assigning tasks to government officials as required. We urge the public to disregard these rumors. Aketi is very much alive.”
