Catherine Colonna, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Europe of France, warmly received President Bola Tinubu upon his arrival at the venue of the New Global Financing Pact summit held at Palais Brongniart in Paris. President Tinubu was accompanied by his Aide-de-Camp, Nurudeen Yusuf.

In a statement released earlier by the President’s Media Aide, Dele Alake, it was disclosed that world leaders were eager to engage in consultations with the Nigerian President during his visit to France. The summit, which is expected to host approximately 39 heads of government from around the world, will also include representatives from multilateral development banks such as the World Bank, African Development Bank, European Union, African Union, and the United Nations.

President Tinubu’s departure from Nigeria took place on Tuesday as he embarked on his journey to France to attend the summit. The event aims to address global financing challenges and explore opportunities for collaboration among participating nations and international financial institutions.

The warm reception of President Tinubu by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and Europe highlights the significance of Nigeria’s participation in the summit and the growing importance of international cooperation in addressing global financial issues. The discussions and engagements that take place during the summit have the potential to shape future financial policies and strategies, impacting nations across the globe.
