Moses Sule, a former Vice Chairman of Mikang Local Government Area and a first-time lawmaker, has secured the position of Speaker in the 10th House of Assembly in Plateau State.
His election to this important role signifies a significant achievement in his political career as he takes on the responsibility of leading the legislative body.
The Speaker was elected after the inauguration of the 10th House of Assembly on Tuesday in the state.
The lawmakers also elected Fom Gwottson, member, representing Jos South constituency, deputy speaker at the inauguration of the state legislature.
The two presiding officers were administered the oath of allegiance and oath of office, and thereafter, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Moses Sule, swore in elected legislators as members of Plateau State 10th House of Assembly, comprising of 24 members.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dominates the 24 members in the House with 16 seats, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has 7 seats and the Young Progressives Party (YPP) has 1.
