The seventh edition of VerveLife, Africa’s leading wellness initiative by Interswitch Group’s subsidiary Verve, has deepened its focus on youth engagement and community development across Nigeria and beyond.
In a statement on Wednesday, Verve highlighted VerveLife’s evolution into a platform promoting healthier lifestyles, resilience, and social connections among young people. The programme, spanning seven years, continues to foster a wellness-driven culture across Africa.
Mitchell Elegbe, Group Chief Executive Officer of Interswitch, emphasized the strategic importance of the initiative. “Seven years ago, we launched VerveLife to connect with Nigerians through wellness, a passion that resonates deeply across the country. Over time, it has grown into a space where people prioritize health, resilience, and networking,” he said.
This year’s VerveLife featured activities in Lagos, Abuja, and Kampala, culminating in a grand finale in Lagos. The finale seamlessly blended wellness and entertainment, showcasing live performances by Afrobeats star 9ice and other acts to engage a diverse audience.
Elegbe noted the broader impact of the initiative, stating, “VerveLife is not just about fitness; it’s a strategic effort to empower young people to adopt healthier habits, enhance productivity, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. It combines wellness with community advancement for lasting benefits.”
The continued success of VerveLife underscores Verve’s commitment to leveraging wellness as a core strategy to connect with Africa’s youth, promote productivity, and drive social development in alignment with its corporate vision.
