Tinubu Stresses Dependence on Nigerians’ Support at Ansar Ud Deen Centenary Celebration

President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his strong reliance on the support of Nigerians, extending gratitude to both those who voted for him and those who did not. Speaking at the Ansar Ud Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS) Mosque in Surulere, Lagos State, the President celebrated the centenary establishment of the organization, which occurred on December 21, 1923.

During the event, President Tinubu expressed appreciation for the Ansarudeen’s support during the election, considering it a motivating factor for the government to maintain its focus on serving the nation diligently. He acknowledged the responsibility bestowed upon him by God to serve Nigerians, emphasizing his commitment to building a better society that transcends ethnic, religious, or geographical differences. Tinubu highlighted ongoing policy implementations aimed at addressing citizens’ concerns comprehensively.

“We are cognizant of their challenges and are working to address them comprehensively. Nigerians are urged to be patient as the benefits of these measures will soon become evident,” assured Tinubu. He praised the ADS for achieving a century marked by stability, sustainability, and strategic planning, commending their focused efforts as a testament to the achievements possible through diligent societal planning.

Sheik Abdulrahman Ahmed, the National Missioner of ADS, called upon political officeholders to prioritize meeting the needs of the electorate, emphasizing the expectations placed upon leaders by the people. He urged citizens to continue obeying constitutional authority while praying for their leaders, highlighting the positive impact of such prayers on their lives. He vowed to persist in the efforts of religious leaders towards this cause. (NAN)
