Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has commended Dunamis International Gospel Centre for organizing a well-coordinated and disruption-free crusade at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.

Expressing his appreciation for the church’s adherence to public order, Soludo announced a full refund of the fees paid for the use of the venue and extended an invitation to the church, led by Pastor Paul Enenche, to hold future programs at the location.

Major Facelift Planned for Ekwueme Square

The governor further revealed that Ekwueme Square and its surroundings would soon undergo renovations, improved lighting, and beautification to reflect Anambra’s status as “The Light of the Nation.”

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Soludo urged religious institutions to continue their prayers for spiritual renewal and collaborate with the government in rebuilding moral values among the youth.

“Our people are known for hard work and innovation, not for kidnapping, internet fraud, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities,” the statement read.

“We commend Pastor Enenche for preaching messages that promote righteousness and godly living. This will help reshape the minds of young people and contribute to building a safer and more prosperous Anambra State.”

Crusade Draws Thousands Seeking Divine Intervention

Before the governor’s remarks, Pastor Paul Enenche delivered a powerful sermon titled “Serving the God of the Blessing”, emphasizing that God’s plan has always been to bless His people.

Citing biblical references, Genesis 1:28 and Genesis 9:1, he highlighted God’s continuous blessings upon mankind.

“From the beginning, God declared His blessing upon Adam, saying, ‘Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it.’ Even after the flood, God renewed this blessing with Noah. This shows that God is committed to blessing those who walk with Him,” Pastor Enenche stated.

The crusade, attended by thousands of worshippers, featured intense worship, testimonies of healing, and prophetic declarations.

As the spiritual gathering continues, Pastor Enenche is expected to lead prayers for individuals, families, and the state, declaring divine blessings upon Anambra and its people.

The governor’s gesture has been widely praised by religious leaders and the Christian community as a step toward strengthening the church-government relationship for societal transformation.
