Today, November 4, President Bola Tinubu is set to swear in seven new ministers into his cabinet, as announced by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. The ceremony, to be held at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja, follows the Senate’s confirmation of these nominees on October 31.
The new ministers and their designated portfolios are as follows:
- Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda – Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
- Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi – Minister of Labour and Employment
- Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu – Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
- Dr. Jumoke Oduwole – Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment
- Idi Mukhtar Maiha – Minister of Livestock Development
- Yusuf Abdullahi Ata – Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development
- Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad – Minister of State for Education
This swearing-in follows President Tinubu’s major cabinet reshuffle on October 23. He reassigned ten ministers, dismissed five, and nominated seven new candidates, who the Senate subsequently cleared. This reshuffle is part of Tinubu’s efforts to enhance governance and address national priorities across various sectors.
