Plateau State Schedules Local Government Elections for October 9, 2024

Jos, Plateau State – The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) has announced that local government elections will be held on October 9, 2024. This announcement was made by the Commission’s Chairman, Plangji Cishak, during a meeting with political party leaders at the commission’s headquarters in Jos, the state capital.

The local government elections will be conducted across all 17 local government areas of Plateau State, which are currently managed by Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen.

This development is part of the state’s efforts to strengthen local governance and ensure democratic representation at the grassroots level.
