In a bid to foster internal unity and address internal issues, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has directed all members involved in intra-party litigations to withdraw their court cases. The directive was issued on Tuesday in Abuja, following a comprehensive review of the party’s current state during the 578th meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC).

In a statement released by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, the committee emphasized the importance of adhering to the directive, citing the PDP’s constitution amended in 2017 and the party’s commitment to unity and reconciliation.

Ologunagba stated, “The NWC urges all party leaders, critical stakeholders, and members to remain united and continue to promote the values for which the PDP is known as a truly democratic party.”

Additionally, the NWC addressed and approved the report of the Establishment Committee regarding the appointment of a substantive director-general for the PDP’s Peoples Democratic Institute. The move is part of the party’s ongoing efforts to streamline its internal structures and enhance overall efficiency.
