Yesterday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stated their assurance of victory in the upcoming elections, not relying on the tactic of electoral bribery. The confidence is based on the interaction and connection established with the people of Nigeria.

During a press conference in Asaba, Delta State, the spokesperson of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to initiate measures that could result in the delay of the election.

According to Mr. Charles Aniagwu, the Spokesman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, the party is pleased with the stance of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, affirming that the election will take place as planned. Aniagwu accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to purchase votes using old currency stored ahead of the election.

He emphasized that the PDP’s confidence in victory is rooted in their interaction with the people of Nigeria and their belief that Atiku-Okowa has the capability to restore and revitalize the country. Aniagwu questioned why the APC was seeking to extend the usage of old currency instead of urging the court to compel the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to release more new notes.

The PDP, as a political party, wants the election to proceed as scheduled and is urging the Federal Government and CBN to ensure that adequate funds are accessible to the public within set limits. This is crucial to allow individuals to withdraw the desired amount from ATMs or banking halls. The PDP, as a campaign organization and political party, is not relying on vote-buying tactics and is highly confident in the relationship they have built with the Nigerian people.

The PDP exudes confidence in the upcoming election, as the Nigerian people are looking to Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa to bring about change and improvement.

According to the PDP, the reason the APC and its presidential candidate have been actively opposing President Muhammadu Buhari and the CBN governor is due to their understanding that they are likely to lose the election. The PDP eagerly looks forward to the election taking place as soon as possible to begin the journey of recovery.

The party supports any efforts to confiscate illegal funds and prevent their usage in the election. It is aware that the APC is relying heavily on stored funds, including old currency notes, to secure victory.

Despite the APC’s attempts to delay the election, the PDP is pleased with the position of the INEC Chairman, who has stated that the election will proceed as scheduled.
