Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha has urged Victor Osimhen to consider staying at Galatasaray, following a record-breaking loan spell from Napoli. Okocha highlighted the emotional and professional satisfaction Osimhen has found in Turkey, noting that staying might require personal sacrifices but could be worthwhile.

“Turkey is a great place to play and live football,” Okocha said, adding that Osimhen appeared genuinely happy at Galatasaray.

Osimhen ended the season with 37 goals, helping Galatasaray secure a league and cup double. The club has reportedly offered him a new €15 million-per-year contract, which would make him their highest-paid player ever. Meanwhile, fans have launched a global #staywithus campaign, including a billboard in New York’s Times Square.

Though Osimhen has yet to announce his decision, Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk expressed hope he would remain. Okocha, who played for Fenerbahçe from 1996 to 1998, declined to speculate on Osimhen’s future but wished him well regardless of his choice.
