LAGOS, NIGERIA – Dr. Fola David, a renowned Nigerian doctor and visual artist, has officially begun his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Drawing by an Individual. The artwork, titled “Unity in Diversity,” is being created on a canvas measuring 850 square meters.
The ambitious project features a detailed map of Nigeria, highlighting the country’s diverse tribes through their unique attire, languages, art, and essence. Dr. David’s effort aims to celebrate Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and promote unity among its people.
The record-breaking attempt is taking place at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos and is scheduled to span six days, from July 16 to July 21, 2024.
Currently, the Guinness World Record for the Largest Drawing by an Individual is held by Ravi Soni from India, with a drawing measuring 629.98 square meters.
