Leader of Oyotunji African Village Allegedly Stabbed to Death by Sister

The leader of Oyotunji African Village in Beaufort County, South Carolina, Adegbolu Abiogemo Adefunmi, also known as Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi II, was reportedly stabbed to death by his sister during a heated argument on Monday, July 29, 2024.

According to ABC News 4, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the stabbing at approximately 2:45 p.m. at the village located on Bryant Lane. The 47-year-old victim was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further details on the altercation and the current status of the suspect have yet to be released.
