Abuja, Nigeria – Former presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, asserted on Tuesday that the administration of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari successfully instilled a “culture of personal integrity” within government.
Shehu made the remarks in Abuja during a press briefing to introduce his new book, “According to the President: Lessons from Presidential Spokespersons.” He explained that the book is designed to be a vital resource for students, media professionals, and public relations practitioners, offering a detailed account of Buhari’s eight-year presidency.
Highlighting the former president’s philosophy, Shehu stated, “President Buhari wanted his work to speak for him, and he wanted it to be on the doorstep of the poor.” He further elaborated on the administration’s commitment to improving citizens’ lives. “Buhari’s government made sincere efforts to improve the quality of life of farmers, youths, promoters of small businesses, and even traders, in addition to strengthening the nation’s infrastructure. Buhari’s government brought a culture of personal integrity into government,” Shehu emphasized.
