The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South Zone has voiced its optimism for success in the upcoming Edo State governorship elections.
During a stakeholders meeting convened to address party issues in the region, APC leaders expressed their conviction of emerging victorious in the polls.
Cross River State governor, Bassey Otu, affirmed this confidence shortly after his confirmation as the party leader in the zone. He emphasized his commitment to fostering sustainability, unity, and peace, pledging to lead the APC to triumph in the forthcoming elections.
As the sole APC governor in the South-South, Otu vowed to bolster the party’s presence in the region, aiming to increase APC representation before the next general election.
Echoing Otu’s sentiments, Chief Victor Gaidom, the zonal vice chairman of APC, highlighted the unanimous decision reached at the meeting. He emphasized the collective resolve to strengthen the party’s position in the South-South and secure victory in the Edo State governorship election.
Gaidom issued a stern warning to rival political parties in Edo State, asserting the APC’s readiness to reclaim governance. He reiterated the commitment to fostering unity and peace in the region, underscoring the importance of concerted efforts towards achieving this goal.
