Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has pledged to uphold the rule of law in the governance of the state, emphasizing this commitment in response to his recent victory at the Court of Appeal. The Court of Appeal in Abuja upheld Fintiri’s triumph in the March 18 governorship election, dismissing the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Senator Aisha Binani.

Addressing reporters at Yola International Airport upon his return from Abuja, Governor Fintiri expressed gratitude for the court’s decision, describing it as an act of God and a triumph for the rule of law. He acknowledged the overwhelming support from a diverse group of supporters who gathered at the airport, transcending party affiliations.

The court affirmed that Fintiri, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was lawfully declared the winner of the election by the Adamawa Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. In light of this victory, Governor Fintiri assured the people of Adamawa that his administration would exhibit magnanimity and continue delivering services for the benefit of all residents in the state.

Furthermore, he extended early Christmas wishes to the Christian community and reiterated his government’s commitment to ruling with a steadfast respect for the rule of law. (NAN)
