The situation escalated further after controversial social media commentator VeryDarkMan released a video analysing the claims. In the video, he warned that the controversy could damage Chike’s career, particularly his popularity as a performer at weddings and high-profile events.

He argued that fear and suspicion among potential clients could affect the singer’s bookings, as some may be reluctant to hire him due to the nature of the allegations.

Amid the growing attention, Chike posted a brief message on social media saying, “Pity my soul!”, a statement many fans believe was directed at critics and online commentators discussing the scandal.
