Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has vehemently rejected a publication alleging that the All Progressive Congress (APC) bribed Appeal Court judges with $5 million to annul his election victory, denouncing it as “baseless and defamatory.”

Governor Mutfwang, distancing himself from the publication, characterized it as an attempt by unknown sponsors to undermine his credibility by creating discord between him, the judges, and other authorities. In a statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Mr. Gyang Bere, it was clarified that neither the Governor nor any cabinet members are affiliated with the group behind the publication.

Mutfwang, expressing his lack of awareness regarding the publication, called for a thorough investigation by security agencies to identify and apprehend those responsible for the libelous content. He strongly condemned the allegations, attributing them to the deliberate actions of his detractors.

“I distance myself from the false narrative and dismiss it as mere fabrications crafted by individuals who are being manipulated as pawns by the opposition party in the State,” Mutfwang asserted.

The Governor reiterated his unwavering support for the judiciary and warned against disparaging justices and respected leaders, urging those involved to cease their destructive activities immediately or face severe consequences.

In response, the APC, represented by its Publicity Secretary, Sylvanus Namang, advised the PDP to refrain from involving the party in matters it knows nothing about, emphasizing the need for responsible and accurate discourse.
